Carbon Neutral Torridge is a community benefit society, a non profit cooperative. Our goal is to tackle the unprecedented threat we all face, the climate emergency, by working with individuals, businesses and government to achieve an economy with a net zero carbon output by 2030.
Funded by our investor members and profit from our subsidiaries Bideford Carbon Cooperative & Atlantic community energy, we’ll help tackle the crisis we face.

How we can help reduce your emissions
Individual
Bideford Carbon Co-op runs the decarbonisation hub in Bideford, manned by volunteers. We educate individuals on the climate crisis and how to reduce their carbon footprint. Bideford Carbon Co-op also offers Carbon Credits, a scheme to help those who are unable to reduce their own footprint, reduce carbon output globally.
Business
Atlantic Community Energy provides renewable energy to businesses, by allowing us to use their roofs to install solar panels we can provide reduced energy cost to businesses while helping reduce the carbon output. ACE will also provide an energy club to those eligible, helping to provide lower cost energy to those at the same substation and guaranteeing it comes from renewable sources.
Government
Many local councils and parishes have declared a climate emergency, but many lack the knowledge to meet their net zero carbon target date. Bideford Carbon Co-op provides full decarbonisation reports, individually tailored showing how local governments can reduce their carbon inline with their target date.
