Socially Responsible Decarbonisation
Bideford Carbon Co-op, a subsidiary of Carbon Neutral Torridge, aims to reduce the carbon output of our economy through individuals and local governments. Working with individuals using our decarbonisation hub and Carbon Credit Scheme and local governments with our decarbonisation plans.
Decarbonsiation Hub
Our Decarbonisation Hub in Bideford educates and helps individuals on the climate crisis and reducing their carbon footprint. Run by volunteers it is a community project, run by the community, for the community. Find out more on coming along or volunteering here.
Carbon Credits
We face an unprecedented threat to our planet. The climate crisis is exactly that, a crisis. We have too much to do with too little time. Reducing your own carbon footprint is the best thing you can do to help tackle this crisis but we understand that this crisis is largely caused by systemic issues and some are unable to right away. Our carbon credit scheme is not a solution to the threat we face but it gives us more time to solve systemic issues in order to allow more individuals to end their carbon footprint. Find out more here.
Services to local authorities
Many local councils and parishes have declared a climate emergency, but many need help taking action and on knowing how to meet their net zero carbon target date. Bideford Carbon Co-op provides full decarbonisation reports, individually tailored to your area and powers, showing how your council can reduce their carbon inline with their target date. View our baseline report, use our carbon problem calculator and find out more here.
